How To?: Be Politically Precise

The church was asked if they'd like free advertisement in the gay-friendly yellow pages.

...you want to be nice, but you know it won't work out.

There is no way to answer without the entire universe collapsing on itself, and rebooting another reality into existence. Tragic, divisive irony.

Airports

it's an interesting concept; airports.

just the idea of all these different people coming together to go somewhere. even if it's only to their first layover, or from their last layover, they're heading in the same exact direction as you for about two hours.

from their holidays, and sporting events, their business trips, family events, school breaks, their completely different lives. it's as if the tangled yarn of their lives suddenly becomes a braid, intertwined with yours, as you wait for your flight. then you board, a long line of woven fates, take your seats and wait together in anticipation for the same destination. sometimes it feels like you could never have more in common with a person than the stranger next to you at your terminal, or in 49F. all because you know for a fact that someone is going exactly where you're going in life... for a while.

and when you disembark from the unified journey, the yarn starts to ball up for every person's life. the braid is undone, and the trails wander off into different directions; maybe overlapping at many points, but never aligned fully--until the next flight...

... or until you end up at Lost and Found together because you left your phone in the airport bathroom.
